Hi, my name is Rumya Putcha, and this is my research website.
I started this blog to share my reflections, ethnography, and research-in-progress. After spending well over a decade conducting ethnography in yoga studios across the U.S., I’ve finally turned this line of inquiry into a formal research project. I’m interested in studying how yoga cultures reveal racialized ideas of the body, on the one hand, and epistemologies of religion and citizenship, on the other.
